THESE WERE MY PREDICTIONS FROM MAY WHEN THE SCHEDULE COMES OUT.   Commentary in red

Jets:
Week 1 – Ravens @ Jets MNF
Week 2 – Pats @ Jets

• Most likely split these games.  I’ll say we win the home opener, and split with the Pats.  1-1

After a close and pathetic lose to the Ravens, we took it to New England. 1-1

Week 3 – Jets @ Dolphins SNF
Week 4 – Jets @ Bills

• fins and bills on the road.. yes please, at this point we’ll already be established as the leagues most feared defense.  3-1

2-0 here.  Moving to 3-0 in the division. 3-1.

Week 5 – Vikings @ Jets MNF
Week 6 – Jets @ Broncos

• Welcome to the team SanAntonio.  We stay undefeated in nationally televised games, howya been Brett?  5-1.

With Holmes easing into the offense.  We got the wins here, but in a not convincing way.  No worries to this point though as the wins continue to pour in.  5-1.

Week 7 – Bye
Week 8 – Packers @ Jets
Week 9 – Jets @ Lions
Week 10 – Jets @ Browns

• Aaron Rodgers is probably one of my favorite non-Jets.. so for the sake of taking a lose, I’ll allow it to come by his hands.  7-2.

What a terrible stretch.  We did go 2-1 here, and did end up losing to the Packers.  Team showed clutchness but no killer instinct.  Last second wins over the Lions and the Browns, was not pretty.. but we’ll take it.  7-2.

Week 11 – Texans @ Jets
Week 12 – Bengals @ Jets Thanksgiving
Week 13 – Jets @ Pats MNF

• Revis Island will be pretty busy with pro-bowlers looking for their way off.  Andre, Chad, Randy.. I said we’d split with the Pats and since I gave us the loss early in the season, we win this one to stay undefeated on Monday night.  10-2.

So much for the pro-bowl receivers  huh.. Chad’s been non existent, T.O. was added to the Bengals, and Randy has since played for 2 other teams this season.  Another close win over the Texans… followed by a nice whooping on the Bungles… Followed by our own butt whooping by the Pats.  9-3.

Week 14 – Dolphins @ Jets

• I HATE the dolphins.  11-2.

HATE the Dolphins.  9-4.

Week 15 – Jets @ Steelers
Week 16 – Jets @ Bears

• Two road games, at this point we’re resting starters, and it is the Jets so we drop one of these two.. don’t really care which since we’ll have the division locked up.  12-3.

Nice win over the Steelers, surprising shootout loss in the Chi.  Patriots are tearing through the league.  Brady = no AFC east title.  10-5.

Week 17 – Bills @ Jets

• What a nice way to close out the season.  13-3

So we didn’t go 13-3 and win the east, but at 11-5 we locked up the wildcard before the last regular season game.  This last win was very promising albeit a beatdown against the Bills.  Our backup db’s were on lockdown.  11-5.

It’s been half a year

..since my last blog.

Life since graduation?

Got a job.  Buncha new sneakers.  Great new friends from a new church group.  2k11.  Knicks doing their thing, word to Amare.  Jet’s in the playoffs again (next post dedicated to this).  Just living life really.

But I just got an app on my phone (G2 android) that let’s me post stuff right from there.  So figured why not.

Gonna do big things in 2011!
